Matchmaking with a Mission by B.J. Daniels, Harlequin Intrigue, Whitehorse, Montana, ISBN: 9780373693207

The most stubborn of the Bailey sisters was back in town, and determined to start a horse ranch. She'd set her sights on the long-deserted Harper House and no one was going to change McKenna's mind--not the enigmatic Nate Dempsey or the superstitious folk of Whitehorse, who wanted her married off. Now that the gossips' tongues were wagging, the sinister rumors plaguing the house had resurfaced. And though McKenna refused to be scared off, someone was trying to run her off the property. Luckily, Nate had always been there to protect her--and Whitehorse's matchmakers wondered, would the mystery man become a permanent fixture in town?
Positive ID by Kathleen Long, Harlequin Intrigue, The Body Hunters, ISBN: 9780373693214

When he learned his very own daughter had gone missing, agent Will Connor instructed his covert team, the Body Hunters, to stop at nothing to find the girl--and it forced him to reunite with his "widow," Maggie. Although Maggie's anger was evident, so was the passion that had always existed between them. With the clock ticking, finding their daughter was top priority, but rekindling what he'd once shared with Maggie was critical to their future. Suddenly "till death do us part" had a whole new meaning, for nothing else would tear him away from his family a second time around.

72 Hours by Dana Marton, Harlequin Intrigue, Thriller, ISBN: 9780373693221

After being taken hostage, Kate Hamilton had faced her share of pain and confusion. But it was nothing compared to learning undercover agent Parker McCall had come to her rescue. This secretive man with whom she'd once spent long days and hot nights was plotting their escape and telling her to trust him if she wanted to get out alive. His skills when it came to securing her safety were impressive...and incredibly sexy to watch. The closer they got to freedom, the more dangerous the situation became. Which only seemed to heighten the attraction from which there would never be any escape...
I'll Be Watching You by Tracy Montoya, Harlequin Intrigue, ISBN: 9780373693245

It might have been four years since Detective Daniel Cardenas had last seen Addy Torres, but she'd never been far from his thoughts...or his fantasies. Then, as a vicious stalker's latest target, the stunning recluse needed the relentless protection only Daniel could provide. But the more Addy turned to his strong arms seeking safety, the more he wanted to ease her pain and give her the release they'd both craved for far too long. As he watched and waited for a killer to make his next move, Daniel fought every urge and kept his hands to himself. Until one fateful night changed everything... .

Loving the Enemy by Pat White, Harlequin Intrigue, 9780373693252

Andrea Franks couldn't deny anyone in need--nor could she deny her instant, intense attraction to the stranger. Who was this man? And why did he bring trouble to her isolated world? Former Special Ops soldier Kyle McKendrick had nowhere to turn and was out of options. His buddy was already dead. Now Kyle had to protect his widow, Andrea--who had vowed to kill him on sight. He had to convince her a much larger mission was unraveling before she took matters into her own hands. Evenly matched, could he outmaneuver this woman long enough for all their wounds to heal?

Question of the Month

In the spring, we think of new beginnings--new baseball season, new flowers, new life on farms, etc.
What new projects are you working on now, or will be working on in the near future?
IOW--What's new?

Julie Miller--The big event for me this year, writing-wise, is the release of my four book mini-series from Intrigue called The Precinct: The Brotherhood of the Badge. The series features four brothers--all cops of different kinds (newly-promoted detective, seasoned investigator, S.W.A.T. sharpshooter, burnt out undercover cop), and all loyal to the cause of finding out who murdered their father--a veteran KCPD cop. Along the way, they'll find help and love from an old flame with an abusive ex; a shy, plain-Jane secretary; a spunky, dog-loving eyewitness; and a brainy medical examiner from the crime lab. Plus, you'll see some familiar faces from Taylor Clan and Precinct books, and meet some new characters who just might have stories of their own in the works... The first Brotherhood book, Protective Instincts, will be out in June, followed by Armed and Devastating in July. Then look for Private S.W.A.T. Takeover and Kansas City Christmas in October and November of this year.

In the meantime, I'm writing a continuity book for Intrigue's Kenner County Crime Unit mini-series (out in 2009), a Blaze for their "0-60" racing trilogy out in 2009, and a special Taylor Clan/Precinct Intrigue story.

Rickey Mallory--For me, what's new is a new Ranger book coming out in June 08--yay! I can't wait to see The Heart of Brody McQuade, the first book in our new Silver Star of Texas II series, on the shelves. This one is called Cantara Hills Investigation, and Brody's book is the first of the trilogy, followed by Delores Fossen's Questioning the Heiress and Rita Herron's Beneath the Badge. Wait until you see these new Rangers.

In further news, I'm getting acquainted with the Black Hills (Wyoming version.) My husband and I hope to take a trip up that way this spring or summer. The Black Hills near Sundance is the base of operations of the Black Hills Brotherhood, three men who bonded as kids and swore to dedicate their lives to rescuing the innocent. Watch for them coming April, May and June of 2009.

Rebecca York--My next Intrigue is out in July. It's called Soldier Caged, and I got the idea when I toured the bunker hidden under one wing of the Greenbriar Hotel in West Virginia. The U. S. government paid for the wing, with the proviso that they could hide a fallout shelter under it--for members of Congress. I'm not sure how they were supposed to get there, but the facility is amazing, with sleeping accommodations and everything else needed for the whole of congress, and some of their aids. They kept it a secret for more than thirty years, until a reporter form The Washington Post blew their cover. I got to thinking, suppose a man were being held captive in that bunker? Who would be holding him, and why? And how would he escape? And I thought about the woman who had loved him for years--and was given the chance to rescue him. I kept the bunker in West Virginia, but I moved it out into a wilder area, because I didn't want my h/h coming out and finding themselves at a hotel.

Amanda Stevens--I love spring, but I'm always reminded of the first line from T. S. Eliot's The Waste Land. "April is the cruellest month..." I've decided to make that my motto because this month, I'm working on my next MIRA thriller called The Whispering Room, about a vigilante-style killer going after people who possess an 'evil' gene, and in my spare time, I'm playing around with a first-person mystery that begins with a pretty twisted murder. So far, April truly is the cruelest month and I'm loving it!

Rita Herron--I'm working on a new series for Intrigue called Guardian Angel Investigations, a series about a cop who leaves the force and opens up an agency specializing in cases with missing children. Book one of the series Silent Night Sanctuary will be out in November. I also have a paranormal romantic suspense trilogy coming out with Grand Central Publishing - the first book in the trilogy, Insatiable Desires, will be out in September. This series is dark, edgy and very hot!  I'm also writing books for two of Intrigue's new continuity series!

Delores Fossen--I'm so excited because I'm writing a new miniseries, Texas Paternity. The five books feature Texas lawmen who become single dads, and the first of the series, Security Blanket, will hit the shelves in October. I'm also working on another Texas Ranger trilogy with authors, Rita Herron and Mallory Kane. My book, Questioning the Heiress, will be out  in July. We already have a third trilogy that won't be on the schedule until 2010, but I can't wait to start writing more of the Texas Rangers. Love those Texas lawmen! Oh, and I also have a continuity book in the works. My book of the Kenner County Crime Unit continuity will be out July 2009.

B.J. Daniels-- Ah, spring. My favorite season. I just came back from vacation and now I am ready to write. Actually, I began writing a few days ago in my sleep. It's what I do when I don't write any other time. So I know it's time to get back to the computer! :) My Intrigue series, Whitehorse, Montana, continues this month and next with Matchmaking With a Mission and Second Chance Cowboy. To all those people who wanted to know what happened to the Evans family...you can catch up with them in Second Chance Cowboy, my favorite book so far. And yes, I am working on a mainstream mystery set near Yellowstone Park where I grew up. I'm excited about it and looking forward to the longer format. Not that I can leave Whitehorse. There are so many more stories to tell that I have another six books coming out in that series. So it is going to be a busy spring! I can't wait!! B.J. Daniels

Dana Marton--I'm editing Sheik Protector that will be released in September, the follow up novel to Sheik Seduction. So it's back to the desert, with even more danger and adventure this time on the side of a dark and tortured hero, Sheik Karim. I am having a ton of fun with this book. Very Indiana Jones. :-) I just love lost artifacts with mysterious powers and the adventurous search that leads to them.

Patricia Rosemoor-- I'm currently working on Christmas Delivery, the third book in a series with Rebecca York and Ann Voss Peterson. The series is set on the Eastern Shore and has a gothic feel complete with ghosts. This summer I'll be writing Rescuing the Virgin, the ninth book in The McKenna Legacy series. This will complete the first branch of the family. And after that, I'll be going on to another branch of McKennas.

Sylvie Kurtz--What's new for me is a break. I'm taking some time off to deal with my insomnia problem without the stress of a deadline. I'm not going completely away, though, so keep checking my page for updates and a couple new pages I'll be adding. I hope to be back soon with another story.
